Mendocino Purps, a Cannabis Cup winner in 2007 and 2009, was born in Mendocino County, California, home of the marijuana industry. It’s also known simply as The Purps, or Purps, and it’s the inbred descendant of an original indica landrace (a locally domesticated plant strain) and an unknown sativa.
